Alto da Boa Vista is an upscale neighborhood belonging to the north of the city, long known to be inhabited by people with high incomes and have beautiful mansions.
It is, however, geographically located in the center of all regions, located between the north, south, west, and also the central city. It is one of the last neighborhoods in the capital where one can still find clean rivers.
The district has about 20,000 inhabitants and belongs to the 8th Administrative Region of Tijuca.
